How often should I change the Puriti filter cartridge?

The Puriti filter cartridge lifetime is based on a combination of factors, including the quality of your water supply, the type of shower you use and how frequently you use your shower.

 

Each cartridge is designed to last up to 6 months, or 10,000 litres, whichever comes first. For larger households that have lower quality supply water, the filter lifetime may be reduced.

How should I store my filter when not in use or when travelling?

To store your filter when it’s not in use, or when you are taking it with you on a trip:

  1. Remove the filter cartridge from the filter casing
  2. Seal the wet cartridge in a zip-lock bag to keep it fresh
  3. Wipe the filter casing thoroughly before storing in a dry cupboard or when carrying in a travel case.

 

What should I look for when choosing a shower filter?

Not all shower filters are created equal. To truly protect your hair, skin and overall wellbeing, you need a filter that combines quality materials with science-backed results.

 

We recommend that you look for:

  1. Multi-stage filtration
    Look for filters that contains a filtration that uses a variety of filtration media — ideally no more than 6 for comprehensive protection. Avoid filters that contain a high number of filters. as they will likely include a higher volume of less effective and unproven filtration media.
     
  2. Science-backed results
    Choose a filter that contains high quanities (or percentages) of filtration media that has been scientifically proven to deliver results. These include KDF, Calcium Sulfite, Activated Carbon and, to a lesser degree, Vitamin C. 

    Other media may be less effective, so we recommend that you do a little research into any uncommon media that's not listed above to make sure you're not wasting your money on cheap fillers or marketing gimmicks. 
     
  3. Refillable design with high-quality housing 
    Make sure the shower filter is refillable and not single use.  Most Australian models are refillable making them the best option both for the environment and for your pocket.

    We recommend filters that have a metal casing such as aluminium alloy, titanium alloy or stainless steel because they are the strongest and most durable option. 

    Filter brands that don't advertise what their filter housing is made from, are more likely to be made of plastic. Whilst plastic filters are a cheaper alternative, they have a shorter lifespan as they are more prone to cracking and general wear and tear over time.

What type of shower heads does it work with?

Puriti works with most fixed, handheld, and rainfall-style shower heads that use the universal ½-inch connection.

For very compact or wall- or ceiling-flush fixtures, check that there’s at least 3 cm of clearance. If the space available is less than 30 cm you may need a Puriti shower adapter.

What are your shipping options and delivery times?

Our Sydney fulfilment centre aims to have your shipment dispatched within 24-48 hours, during standard business days. Orders typically arrive between 2-8 business days after dispatch.

How do I track my order?

On check-out we ask for your email address. We do this because our courier company will email you upon dispatch with a hyperlink that will enable you to track your parcel as it travels. This may take a few minutes, please check your junk email if you have not received the link.
